THE ART OF THE KIMONO

THE ART OF THE KIMONO

Dating back to the Japanese Heian Period (794-1185), the Kimono has been worn as a part of a beautiful and rich culture. Going from the influences of the Chinese Hamaka, evolving to the famous obi belt, to eventually becoming a simple-ready to wear fashion piece many enjoy.

Kimonos, like a flower, come with their own unique identity, most seen as works of art, and some becoming family heirlooms.

These magnificent garments are carefully crafted by talented artisans with the finest materials to precisely finish the perfect kimono!

Each of our Kimonos encompasses wide bell-like sleeves called tomesode, the gorgeous block printed cotton fabric and a traditional reversible obi belt.
